Year Book

Some of you saw the Yearbook I had from 2008, well I'm going to do it again!

Here's a preview of what I have so far. It's still rough, so there are some changes (gramatical and layout) that are going to be made before it goes to press. I'm not entirely sure about price point yet. As it stands, I'm expecting the price to be between $55 and $65.

Here's my preview:

West Jet Discount

Look at me; three posts in one day! Too bad they're all just reposts of press releases sent to me by the good people at the World Enduro Canada! Trevor Wideman has been doing a great job keeping riders and the media informed of what's going on. This is a pretty good deal from the people at West Jet; I've never flown with them before (I've only flown a handful of times, all last year, all going to the WECs and coming home, all unpleasant; I'm not a flier...) my friends assure me that West Jet is an awesome airline to travel with!

Here's the original message:

"Once again our friends at West Jet have stepped up with a discount deal on flights for the Royal Distributing Canadian Enduro Championship. They are providing 10% off thier lowest rate for flights to Calgary and Kelowna for the western rounds and Toronto and Montreal for the eastern rounds. The discount is good for up to 3 days on either side of each event. Call 877-952-4696 and use discount code CC5986 and be sure to thank them for thier support.

Trevor Wideman
World Enduro Canada"

Check it out! And if you want to get on the mailing list, sign up at the WEC's website! It's simple!

WEC Cross Country Sponsorships

For Immediate Release - April 5/10

World Enduro Canada is very pleased to have secured support from two of Ontario's top Off Road focused motorcycle dealers - Ross Rocher Sales in Stratford (Husqvarna & Husaberg )and Apex Cycle Sport (KTM & Ducati & Aprillia) in Waterloo. Both of these dealers make it a point to cater to the needs of off road riders and we are excited to have their support behind the new Ontario Cross Country Championship.
In order to compete in this series riders will need a transponder for the electronic scoring system available for $40. When riders purchase their transponder they will recieve a $20 gift certificate from each of these dealers making them esentially FREE. We want to encourage riders to support these dealers that support us. Please stop by their shops and make it a point to thank them for supporting the series you compete in.

Queen Victoria

From the good boys at the WEC. Wait to go, Tory-Girl! Take that (not so) Little Orange Woods Machine and shake some things up in the A Class.

For Immediate Release - 03/11/10

World Enduro Canada is pleased to announce their support and partnership of Motoress an organization dedicated to women motorcyclists. Women are becoming more involved with motorcycling and motorcycle racing. Last season we had 4 women compete in the Royal Distributing Canadian Enduro Championship with Victoria Hett winning the Women's Championship. She was so fast that this year she has decided to jump to the A class and mix it up with the guys!
Motoress has a beautiful, professional site www.motoress.com that is filled with stories of racing accomplishments, rides geared to women, riding techniques, motorcycles tests and and online shop for ladies apparel and gear. They have a write up on Victoria and over the course of the season will be documenting the accomplishments of women competing in all of the various WEC series.
They are a supporter of the International Female Ride Day on Friday May 7 when there will be a number of special events planned for female motorcyclists around the world.
YOU GO GIRLS!!

And keep checking for updates as we get closer to the date, but I'm sure we'll have some events in Canada for IFRD on the 7th of May. Also, keep checking in for updates on the CEC adn Xtinction, as well as up dates on Canada's first women's ISDE team!

You can check out the WEC's website and Victoria Hett's awesome blog here and here.
